We want to provide an update on an exposure to COVID-19 within our Village on the Green community. On Thursday, July 16, we learned that two of our team members tested positive for the virus. In addition, several of our team members who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have been cleared to return to work. By way of recap, we have six total active cases of the virus among team members and individuals who provide care and service to our residents. These individuals are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.

As previously communicated, we have a total of three resident cases of COVID-19, all of whom are being cared for in the hospital.

We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

As a reminder, Lifespace and Village on the Green are continuing to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing, and please remember to wear a mask or face covering when you are leaving our community to interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of infection. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Village on the Green management team.
